FEDERAL CASE
The federal case against David E. Taylor
Federal prosecutors charge David E. Taylor, Michelle Brannon, and Kathleen Klein with conspiracy to commit forced labor in connection with Kingdom of God Global Church, formerly known as Joshua Media Ministries International. Taylor also faces eight substantive forced-labor counts, while Brannon faces six. Taylor and Brannon are additionally charged with money-laundering conspiracy.
Prosecutors allege that workers were compelled through threats, punishment, physical and psychological abuse, and other forms of coercion to raise money in the organization’s call centers or provide personal service as Taylor’s “armor bearers.” Taylor and Brannon are also accused of conspiring to conduct financial transactions involving proceeds allegedly derived from forced labor.
